Welcome to Tie Trading!

Ever since the scene from “Pretty Woman” where Julia Roberts greeted Richard Gere with nothing on but a smile and a red tie, I have been fascinated with . . . well, ties! Ties can be eye-catching, colorful, and versatile! They can indicate our moods and personalities or send a message to everyone we meet about who we are, what we are about, what we love, or what we support, etc.

Ties come in all fabrics, shapes, lengths, patterns, widths, thickness—even in bows and bolos! Ties are worn by EVERYONE!!! A tie worn by a woman is sexy, like a woman in a man’s shirt. Ties can be worn by any age group, at any occasion, defining a laid back and casual look or, by contrast, a more sophisticated refinement—or anything in between! Almost every man has one around his neck as one of the last things he wears in this life—ever!

Ties go in and out of style almost as fast as women’s shoes and skirt lengths!

Do we have to wear ties to enjoy them? Absolutely not!!! The multiple, innovative uses are endless! A tie can be sweat band, a pull for a light switch, a belt, a rear view mirror ornament. Sewn together creatively ties can become vests, skirts, robes, window treatments, pillow covers, bedspreads, comforters, quilts—the list is limited only by creative imagination!

But for all that, ties seem to have one HUGE PROBLEM—they tend to accumulate! You don’t even know how you got them all. Did you buy most of them, or were they handed down from fathers, brothers, and uncles? Maybe they were gifts that you dare not let go for fear that someone might refer to “that tie I gave you that you never wear anymore?” And of course, there are some you don’t think you’d be caught dead wearing—or that may be the only way—but you still have them! Drawers, boxes, and racks full of them! (Do ties reproduce quietly like rabbits in those dark places? I’m not sure.)

Here’s the solution—that’s why I am “The Tie Trader!” Operating on the old adage that “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure,” I am initiating “the greatest tie exchange in the known universe!” Here’s how it works for fun and profit:

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
